I had the privilege of birding with Governor Frank O'Bannon and First Lady Judy O'Bannon in April 2003.  We went to Fort Harrison State Park and had an immensely enjoyable time.  Afterwards, the O'Bannons gave me a tour of the temporary Governor's residence at Fort Harrison State Park.  The O'Bannons were extremely warm and friendly.  Governor O'Bannon was certainly an asset to Indiana and his passing is a loss to all Hoosiers.  I am thankful to have had the opportunity to meet and bird with them.
